CRNA (Open) Employment Status: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Facility: 199 Hospital Dr - Galax Requisition Number: R150163 Responsibilities Plan and administer anesthesia and related care to patients upon request by physician to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical or obstetric procedures, according to the standards and principles of anesthesiology. Develop a plan of anesthesia care for patients of all ages in coordination with an anesthesiologist or the physician. Implement and adjust the anesthetic plan to adapt to the patient’s response. Document response to the anesthetic in a complete and accurate manner. Assure the safety of patients while undergoing anesthetic care and when transferring care to other qualified health‑care providers. Collaborate with and direct other health‑care personnel related to the administration of anesthesia care. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA) accredited school of nurse anesthesia education. Experience: None specified. Certification & Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner‑Nurse Anesthetist in the State of Virginia; current certification or recertification as an active, practicing nurse anesthetist by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA); current American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
