Surgical Technician

Position Summary Schedule: Full-time | Days Job Type: In-person Job Location: Galax, VA Responsibilities Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Reports to the Director of Surgery/OR. Minimum Requirements Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of a surgical technology program required. Surgical Tech certification required. BCLS preferred. Minimum of 6 months prior facility experience preferred.
