The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment where students develop physical skills, healthy habits, teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity. Position Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate physical education lessons for students in Pre-K through Grade 8. Provide engaging activities that promote physical fitness, coordination, strength, flexibility, balance, and motor development. Teach and model teamwork, cooperation, leadership, perseverance, respect, and good sportsmanship. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all students. Adapt instruction and activities to meet the diverse physical, developmental, and learning needs of students. Assess and monitor student progress and communicate appropriately with families and colleagues. Supervise students during physical education classes, transitions, and activities. Maintain and appropriately use physical education equipment and facilities. Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to support the overall academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students. Participate in school events, professional development, faculty meetings, and other school activities as requested. Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, policies, and Catholic identity of the school. Position Type Full-time Job Categories: Athletics & Activities > Athletic/Activities Director Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field preferred. Appropriate state teaching certification or licensure preferred. Experience working with early, elementary, and middle school students preferred. Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school. Practicing Catholic preferred, or demonstrated respect for and commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. The ideal candidate is an energetic and compassionate educator who enjoys working with children and understands the importance of developing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. The candidate will demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to building meaningful relationships with students.
