We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail oriented individual looking to build a long term career in one of the most specialized sectors of the insurance industry. No prior reinsurance experience is required.

Position Summary

The Claims Specialist is responsible for managing and processing insurance claims from initial reporting through final resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of insurance policies, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring accurate and timely claim settlements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, investigate, and process insurance claims in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze claim documentation, reports, and supporting evidence to determine coverage and liability.
• Maintain accurate claim records and documentation in the claims management system.
• Negotiate settlements within authorized limits.
• Identify and escalate potentially fraudulent claims.
• Ensure claims are handled efficiently while meeting quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and demonstrated analytical ability.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in insurance claims handling.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, procedures, and coverage analysis.
• Excellent communication and strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.

Experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas is beneficial:

Training Position

• Part-time (18-24 hours)
• $20.00 per hour
• Hands on mentoring from experienced underwriting professionals

Successful trainees may be offered a full-time salaried position based on performance, aptitude, and successful completion of the training program.
