Your work supports fair and accurate oversight of local pension programs. As a Auditor 1 within the Bureau of Municipal Pension Audits in the Northeast region, you will perform the following duties: Pension Compliance: Review municipal pension plans to confirm they meet all legal and policy requirements Record Evaluation: Analyze documents, financial records, and other information related to pension administration Data Management: Create, update, and access audit work papers, findings, and reports Standards Application: Apply laws, regulations, and auditing standards while completing assigned audit tasks Information Analysis: Locate and assess key data needed to complete pension audits Work Schedule and Additional Information: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. Routine travel to auditee sites across Pennsylvania is required. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Associate degree from an accredited college/university with an area of concentration in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in accounting, auditing, or a closely related field. Additional Requirements: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): One or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
