About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team, responsible for overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the city's social services and public health systems. This role involves close collaboration with various agencies and the Mayor's Office, managing a range of high-priority projects, and serving as a trusted advisor to the Deputy Mayor. The Chief of Staff will also be involved in supervising team members, coordinating communications and outreach strategies, and generating policy briefings. A Master's degree in a relevant field is required, along with at least 2 years of related work experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position should have a strong background in public health, public administration, public policy, social work, economics, business, law, or related fields. Experience in government, particularly with administrative and procurement processes, is preferred. The role demands excellent communication, writing, research, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The Chief of Staff will be expected to build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, both within the organization and externally, and to support the Deputy Mayor in decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of following through on complex projects and be adept at translating technical information into clear and compelling presentations.
