# BIM ManagerHot JobGRAND PRAIRIE, TX 75050## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeEducation LevelNot Specified## Description**Position Summary**The BIM Manager is responsible for leading the company’s BIM/VDC processes and supporting the successful delivery of low voltage construction projects through accurate, coordinated, and constructible BIM models. This position establishes and maintains BIM standards, workflows, and quality-control processes while providing technical leadership across projects. The BIM Manager works closely with Project Managers, Project Supervisors, BIM Coordinators, Estimators, Engineers, field teams, general contractors, design teams, and other project stakeholders to ensure BIM deliverables meet project requirements, support field installation, and accurately reflect design intent and site conditions.**BIM Management & Standards**· Develop, implement, and maintain company BIM standards, templates, workflows, and quality-control procedures.· Establish BIM requirements and deliverable standards for low voltage systems, including structured cabling, pathway systems, telecommunications spaces, and communications room layouts.· Review and interpret project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and establish project-specific BIM workflows and requirements.· Ensure BIM deliverables comply with contract documents, project requirements, BICSI, NEC, and applicable industry standards.· Manage and maintain BIM content, families, templates, model standards, naming conventions, and file structures.· Identify opportunities to improve BIM processes, technology, coordination, and project efficiency.· Maintain current knowledge of BIM/VDC technology, construction practices, applicable standards, and industry best practices.**Modeling & Coordination**· Develop, review, and oversee detailed 3D BIM models using Revit and Navisworks.· Manage coordination of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, pathways, telecom rooms, and related infrastructure.· Perform and oversee clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and other applicable platforms.· Lead coordination efforts with other trades and work collaboratively to identify and resolve conflicts.· Review models and drawings for accuracy, constructability, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.· Coordinate BIM requirements with general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.· Support the development of coordinated shop drawings, installation drawings, as-built documentation, and other project deliverables.· Collaborate with field teams to validate constructability and ensure models accurately reflect field conditions.Project Support & Quality Control· Work closely with Project Managers and Project Supervisors throughout the project lifecycle to support BIM deliverables and project requirements.· Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and design changes to identify BIM and coordination requirements.· Lead or participate in BIM coordination meetings and communicate technical issues, conflicts, and recommended solutions.· Conduct quality-control reviews of BIM models and drawings prior to submission or release.· Participate in site visits and job walks to verify installations, document field conditions, and resolve discrepancies.· Support project teams with BIM-related RFIs, coordination issues, design changes, and field conditions.· Ensure project models, revisions, and documentation are properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle.· Support project closeout and development of accurate as-built and record documentation.· Provide BIM support during estimating and preconstruction activities as needed.**Team Leadership & Development**· Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to BIM Coordinators and other BIM/VDC team members.· Establish expectations for BIM quality, productivity, documentation, and project deliverables.· Train and mentor BIM team members on Revit, Navisworks, ACC, company standards, and coordination workflows.· Review BIM team performance and provide coaching to support technical and professional development.· Serve as the primary internal resource for BIM standards, processes, workflows, and technical questions.· Work with leadership to identify BIM staffing, technology, training, and process needs.· Promote consistent BIM practices across projects and operating teams.· Perform other duties as assigned.**Job Type:** Full-time**Compensation & Benefits*** **Competitive Base Salary:** $105,000–$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications* **Comprehensive Health Benefits:** Medical, dental, and vision insurance* **Financial Protection:** Employer-paid life and AD&D insurance, plus short-term and long-term disability coverage* **Employee Support:** Employer-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* **Time Off:** Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays* **Professional Growth:** Ongoing training and professional development opportunities* **Team Culture:** A collaborative, team-oriented work environment where employees can contribute, grow, and make an impacABLe Communications, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.## Qualifications**Education, Experience, and Job Qualifications**· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, BIM/VDC, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.· 5+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, construction coordination, or a related field, with experience supporting commercial construction projects.· 2+ years of experience leading BIM coordination, model development, or BIM/VDC teams preferred.· Strong experience developing and managing detailed 3D BIM models using Revit and Navisworks.· Experience coordinating low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, pathways, telecommunications rooms, security, AV, or related building systems.· Experience performing clash detection, constructability reviews, model coordination, and resolution tracking.· Experience developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), standards, workflows, templates, and documentation requirements.· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, design documents, and technical requirements.· Experience coordinating with Project Managers, Engineers, field teams, general contractors, architects, engineers, and other trades.· Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar construction collaboration platforms.· Strong understanding of construction sequencing, coordination, constructability, and field installation requirements.· Experience managing BIM/VDC activities for telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage, electrical, security, AV, data center, or mission-critical construction.· Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).· Experience establishing company BIM standards, Revit templates, content libraries, modeling standards, and coordination workflows.· Experience leading BIM coordination meetings and working directly with General Contractors, architects, engineers, and other trade partners.· Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Bluebeam, or similar construction technology platforms.· Experience with Revit families, model standards, worksharing, model federation, and model quality control.· Knowledge of BICSI, NEC, TIA, and other applicable telecommunications, electrical, and low-voltage standards.· Experience conducting field verification, site walks, as-built documentation, and model-to-field coordination.· Familiarity with construction scheduling, sequencing, and installation methodologies.· Experience developing BIM training, mentoring BIM Coordinators, and establishing team performance standards.· Experience supporting prefabrication, quantity takeoffs, material coordination, or other model-based construction workflows.· Autodesk, BIM/VDC, BICSI, or other relevant industry certifications are a plus.· Experience in a multi-project, multi-location, or high-growth construction environment.**Typical Physical and Mental Demands**The position may require long hours, handle conflicts, and make decisions under pressure and in inclement weather situations.
