Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We’relooking for aClinical Trials Nurse in GI Surgical Oncology Practice to join our team! In this role,you'llplay a vital part in deliveringcomprehensive patient care, applying yourexpertiseto assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatments in bothinpatient and outpatient settings. RoleOverview: As an integral member of the Clinical Researchteam,you willdeliver direct nursing care to research study participants. Implement the standards for research protocols in compliance with regulatory, institutional, and external agencies. Work within a Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model. Perform patient assessment, offer patient education and patient/family support Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up. Participate in anindividualized training/orientation programgeared to teaching or reinforcing the principles of Clinical Trials Nursing practiced at MSKCC Key Qualifications: New York State RN licenseand BSN 1.5yr - 2years Clinical Nursing experience Clinical research nursing experience preferred Surgical Oncology experience preferred Proficiencywith clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel) BCLS Certificationrequired Core Skills: Productive and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and passion. A good decision-maker, with proven success at makingtimelydecisions thatmaintainhigh standardsof nursing care within the organization.
