Terms of Employment Probationary/Term Contract: 220 days Salary $76,684 (IA 4) Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year. Major Responsibilities and Duties Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of College Academy at all comprehensive high schools. Serve as a primary liaison between Office of Advanced Academics and campus administration regarding College Academy communication and procedures. Collaborate with Lone Star College for College Academy dual credit courses. Review, revise, and update Personal, Academic, and Career Exploration (PACE) course curriculum as needed for College Academy and train teachers who teach these special sections. Lead the district’s effort to continue and expand College Academy to all high schools. Collaborate with grant office to find funding sources to support College Academy materials, tuitions, fees, and teacher training. Identify and utilize research‑based strategies to support students and increase the participation of under‑represented student groups in College Academy. Identify tools and provide resources that support academic success and college readiness (TSIA2, PSAT, SAT, ACT, etc.) so that students are ready to take dual credit courses. Maintain high levels of collaboration with curriculum staff, counselors, and other departments to ensure that all students receive information, applications, and support regarding College Academy opportunities. Facilitate College Academy parent informational meetings. Collaborate with and support campus‑based College Academy Advisors through training, meetings, data review, and progress monitoring. Establish and monitor student progress data to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and the supports offered to students. Facilitate middle and high school collaboration supporting students’ transition to College Academy in high school. Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Advanced Academics.
