Position Overview:

We are seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance & Production Team Leader to join our dynamic company. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality throughout our production processes. Y ou will supervise a group of employees in a production environment to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization, and you will lead a dedicated team in monitoring and implementing quality assurance practices. Team leaders motivate and inspire their team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding of team members, and demonstrates flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

· Managing the day-to-day activities of the production team and oversee daily quality assurance activities to support production processes and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

· Develop and implement a timeline to achieve targets, by delegating tasks to team members.

· Empower and train team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, communication skills, and knowledge in food safety practices.

· Drive LEAN manufacturing and develop solutions to gaps.

· Develop and implement a timeline to achieve targets.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, product, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations and certifications (e.g.,GMP, GFSI, SQF).

Qualifications:

· Three years minimum of previous supervisory experience required.

· High school diploma or GED certificate preferred

· Previous 3 years' experience in food safety, quality assurance, and food production preferred.

· Knowledge of equipment and food production processes preferred.

· Ability to communicate in English. Bilingualism a plus.

· Strong knowledge of GMP, GFSI, SQF, HACCP, and other food safety regulations and standards.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.

Physical Demands:

Standing/Walking: Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk, or hear.

Climbing/Balance: Frequently required to climb or balance

Sitting: Regularly required to sit; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.

Stooping : Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Mechanical Exposure : Regularly works in outside weather conditions, both hot and cold. 

Coordination: ability to coordinate two or more limbs while sitting, standing, or lying down.

Timing: Ability to time movements to anticipate changes in the speed or direction of moving objects.

Lifting/Moving: Frequently required to lift and/or move objects weighing 10 to 25 pounds and regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Vision Requirements : Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and he ability to adjust focus.

Hourly pay $28.00 -$30.00
