About the Position

Job Title: RN - Tele Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years in Telemetry License: Current RN License in Missouri Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2+ years in Telemetry Description: This position is auto-offer. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups. Includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation. Adheres to established guidelines of nursing practice. Complies with the relevant Nurse Practice Act, Code of Conduct, Mission and Values, and Service Standards. Expected to work all required shifts, including weekends and holidays. Requires a team player who cares for positive patient outcomes and demonstrates superior communication skills. The dress code includes wearing black scrubs. This role involves working with patients presenting a mix of medical and telemetry needs. The patient ratios are estimated at 4-6 patients per nurse. Standard nursing equipment will be used. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC. Weekends and major winter holidays must be available to work, barring prior approval for time off. Requested time off of up to 5 days can be automatically approved within each 13-week period. Involves flexibility to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed. A commitment to maintaining a positive environment and communication with team members is essential.
