Job Title: Polysomnographic Tech Profession: Healthcare Specialty: Sleep Disorders Duration: Not specified Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within specialty License: Must possess current and unrestricted certification or registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Certifications: Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) Must-Have: Good written and oral communication skills Description: Prepares adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and equipment for sleep disorder testing. Monitors the polysomnogram and documents according to policy. Demonstrates expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations. Possesses a minimum of one year of experience in sleep study activities. Must be certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or hold a current RPSGT credential. Expected to work two major holidays and one minor holiday each year.
