With properties in Houston, Austin, and Dallas, we blend artful design with a vibrant atmosphere that captures the spirit of Texas.Position Overview:At Hotel ZaZa, the Steward Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the success of meetings, weddings, and special events by leading and maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all banquet and culinary areas. This position ensures that all equipment, dishes, and service items are clean, properly stored, and readily available to support seamless event execution.The Steward Supervisor manages and oversees the quality and efficiency of the Steward team and upholds cleanliness standards, supporting operational efficiency, and working collaboratively with culinary and banquet teams to deliver exceptional experiences.Key Responsibilities:Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet kitchen areas, dish rooms, and storage spacesWash and properly store all glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipmentEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standardsSupport banquet events by ensuring timely availability of clean equipment and service wareAssist with banquet setup and breakdown, including transporting and organizing equipment as neededEmpty trash, maintain floors, and ensure all work areas remain clean and hazard-freeOperate dishwashing equipment and ensure proper chemical usage and safety proceduresAssist with inventory organization and storage of banquet suppliesCommunicate effectively with culinary and banquet leadership to support event needsFollow Hotel ZaZa standards for cleanliness, safety, and professionalismSupport opening and closing duties and assist other team members as neededQualifications:Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or hospitality support experience preferredAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detailBasic knowledge of sanitation and food safety practices preferredAbility to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a team-oriented environment with a positive attitudeFlexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event businessWhy Join Hotel ZaZa?At Hotel ZaZa, we don’t just offer jobs—we offer careers that inspire.
