Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (23:00 - 07:30) Experience: 3+ years in a similar facility License: Not specified Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA) Must-Have: - Experience with decontamination of instruments and equipment - Knowledge of sterilization processes (Sterrad and steam) - Experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing - Proficient in the use of Censitrac tracking system - OR liaison experience Description: Seeking candidates who are experienced with all areas of the department. Responsibilities include the decontamination of all items, including drills, scopes, and instrumentation assembly for all service lines. Knowledge of sterilization processes is essential, specifically Sterrad and steam. Candidates must also possess experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD). Experience in sterile storage is required as well as OR liaison experience. Familiarity with the Censitrac tracking system is necessary. Certified candidates are preferred to have either CBSPD or CRCST. This is a Level One trauma facility that requires candidates to have experience in a similar environment. This position may require floating to different locations and involves occasional weekend and holiday shifts. Candidates will work as part of a team to ensure proper sterilization and aseptic delivery of surgical instruments and supplies. The role also includes serving as a clinical liaison between the operating rooms and the sterile processing department. Collaboration with multiple reprocessing sites within the facility is expected to procure and standardize instrument trays. Candidates need to ensure compliance with sterilization procedures to prevent infections. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality is crucial.
