Account Manager

Leica Microsystems seeks an Account Manager to drive sales growth and profitability within assigned Michigan accounts for life sciences research products. The role involves managing direct customer relationships, generating pipeline opportunities, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop account strategies to increase sales and market share of confocal and widefield microscopy products
• Lead funnel generation and opportunity identification across assigned product lines and customer accounts
• Manage sales pipeline using Salesforce and maintain visual forecasting and pipeline management
• Collaborate with technical teams, customer service, and internal departments to fulfill customer needs
• Generate field data, application notes, and technical publications demonstrating product differentiation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field
• 2+ years experience selling technical products
• Working knowledge of microscopy, imaging, or application analysis
• Strong relationship building and communication skills
• Familiarity with commercial, government, or university account environments
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel approximately 20% domestically

Compensation: $80,000–$105,000 base; total target compensation $165,000–$175,000 annually including sales incentive compensation
