Surgery - Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

Brisk Neurosurgery practice looking for a Physicians Assistant to diagnose and treat health spinal conditions, as well as promote good health practices. As a PA, you ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. You ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease and injury prevention and helping people lead healthy lives. This position requires travel to our other locations.

Responsibilities

• If you can do ESI and other pain management procedures / injections we will give preference to you!

• Examine patients and their medical records
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
• Propose treatments
• Prescribe medications
• Educate patients and their family members on the medical condition and prognosis, and treatment if available
• Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
• Location: Austin, San Antonio, and other locations in the future

Skills

• Experience as PA in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting is preferred, but we will teach the
  
  
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ethics
• Team spirit with a positive attitude
• Patience and cool-headedness
• Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
• Valid PA license
• This position requires travel to our other locations.
