Senior Accountant

Location: Kennesaw, GA 30144 Hours/Day: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM (On-Site- WFH on Fridays) Salary/Benefits: Competitive base salary, annual bonus, profit sharing, medical/dental/vision benefits IMMEDIATE Senior Accountant position available! We are currently representing a well-established client in the manufacturing industry seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on environment and partnering closely with leadership to support financial reporting, process improvements, and business growth. Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable functions, including new vendor setup, invoice processing, and vendor payments. Maintain customer receivable accounts and ensure financial exposure is properly managed. Ensure accurate and timely processing of company expenses. Oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting and maintenance. Maintain accurate inventory values and support inventory-related accounting processes. Prepare financial and analytical reports to support business decisions. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes. Support the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Prepare documentation and schedules for year-end audits. Assist with the development and implementation of accounting procedures, controls, and process improvements. Provide financial guidance and support to cross-functional departments regarding accounting impacts and procedures. Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Support management with special projects, reporting, and financial analysis. Maintain effective communication across departments to support company objectives and accounting initiatives. Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Strong analytical and project management skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software, and ERP systems. Ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
