Purchasing Assistant

Job Description Job Description J&M Aircraft is an established aviation parts distributor in North Hollywood. We supply aircraft parts and equipment to airlines and maintenance organizations worldwide. We are seeking a full-time Purchasing Assistant with at least two years of experience in a purchasing or procurement environment. Responsibilities • Data entry for quotes, purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices in our ERP system (Quantum/Component Control) • Communicating with vendors to obtain pricing and availability of aircraft parts and equipment • Purchasing parts and invoicing overseas clients • Preparing export shipping documentation and coordinating with freight forwarders, AES, FedEx, and UPS • General office tasks supporting the purchasing team Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a closely related role • Strong attention to detail. Aviation parts work requires accuracy in part numbers, units of measure, and documentation • Excellent written and verbal communication • Comfortable working on multiple orders at the same time in a fast-paced environment • Strong keyboard and data entry skills • Ability to use sound judgment and resolve problems in a timely manner • Responsible, organized, and dependable Preferred • Experience in aviation parts, aerospace distribution, or MRO supply • Familiarity with Quantum/Component Control software • Experience with hazmat shipping and MSDS documentation • Experience with export documentation and AES filings Compensation and Benefits • $24 to $30 per hour, based on experience • Health insurance • Pension and profit-sharing plans • Paid time off How to Apply Please send your resume and salary expectations.
