Coordinator of Recruitment

General Description This position assists the Director of Recruitment with development and implementation of student recruitment strategies, ensures effective recruitment and pre‑admission advisement in the Office of Recruitment, handles day‑to‑day administrative duties, oversees daily recruitment activities, and performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely pre‑admission advisement to prospective students and families. Assist with interviews and hiring decisions related to staff. Provide ongoing training for Admissions Outreach Advisers to ensure daily recruitment processes function effectively. Work directly with leadership and key partners at high schools, technical centers, businesses, and other constituencies to recruit students. Collaborate with the Director of Recruitment in the planning and implementation of college recruitment activities, programs, and campaigns. Coordinate and supervise recruitment implementation with local public‑school districts. Develop assigned staff work schedules and assist with admission of students and other administrative duties. Assist in ongoing assessment of departmental needs and services. When appropriate, work with Academic Affairs to accomplish program goals. Serve as a principal institutional representative for recruitment programs on and off campus. Provide support to the Director in management of all activities, events, and daily operations in the Office of Recruitment. Support the Director in accomplishing institutional and departmental goals. Participate in professional development programs and serve as needed on institutional committees. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Human Relations, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related field. Minimum (1) year of work experience in recruitment. Knowledge of college admissions and recruitment, community college practices, and computer‑based student information systems. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Organizational and public‑speaking abilities. Attention to detail and ability to meet the needs of diverse populations. Computer proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to manage templates, tables, graphics, formulas, and formatting. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree (or enrollment in a Master’s Degree) in Education, Higher Education, or Educational Leadership. Bilingual abilities in English/Spanish. Required Training Quarterly compliance training as assigned by the institution. Annual CSA training required for individuals holding this position. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Work is sedentary with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. Requires manual dexterity, repetitive motions, visual acuity for detailed tasks, and work during office hours with some evenings and weekends as needed.
