Position Specific Description This role will be responsible for the management of actuarial functions. The role will develop and execute required actuarial pricing, reserving, or data analytics functions. The employee will work closely with the risk, underwriting, claims, finance, operations teams to assist with overall business strategy. Job Overview Job Duties & Responsibilities Evaluates performance and pricing of insurance and reinsurance programs and analyzes their financial impact in coordination with catastrophe risk modeling teams Drives reserving process including initial expected loss ratios, loss development factors, and required Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) reserves Establishes reserve practices for quarterly performance updates and supports preparation of internal and statutory financial reports Executes data analytics support for pricing, reserving, and modeling needs across risk and actuarial functions Builds complex specialty models with underwriting and claims teams to assess risk exposures and develop pricing strategies Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Experience: 10+ years Leadership Experience: 4+ years Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Experience: 15+ years NextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
