Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Cerner experience and a valid IN or Compact RN license.

Job Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 174 staffed beds on the West campus,
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with telemetry-level patient care,
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30),
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital; float to Med Surg may result in a 6-patient assignment,
• Charting performed in Cerner (experience required),
• 8-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand,
• Current BLS certification required; both AHA and RQI formats accepted,
• Minimum 18 months of PCU or relevant nursing experience required,
• Cerner EMR experience required,
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required,
• 2 supervisor professional references required,
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,

• Indiana residents are considered local and are not eligible for this position,
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays,
• RTO of 5 days or fewer may be auto-approved,
• Any permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler,
• Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a consecutive break to reset eligibility - out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break,
