RN - Medical ICU and Surgical ICU

Division: Eskenazi Health Sub-Division: Hospital Req ID: 18998 Schedule : Full Time Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis. Opportunity Overview The ICU RN provides clinical care and uses coordination skills for every patient served. This includes an understanding of the expected patients served in the unit(s) nursing care is delivered using the Eskenazi Health Model of Care‑Synergy, the ability to coordinate with the patient and family/loved ones and other healthcare disciplines to ensure care is appropriate to meet patient care needs. Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health’s mission: Advocate, Care, Teach, and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County; models Eskenazi Health values. What You Can Expect Eskenazi Health is a Level 1 trauma center, due to our high acuity team members in this role can anticipate handling/monitoring EVDs, ICP's, TTM, Artic Sun, CRRT and more. Candidates must be comfortable independently titrating and managing drips such as vasopressors, opioids, sedatives and paralytics. Ratio: 1:2 on MICU/SICU Beds: 36 Beds Am I Qualified Current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse RN degree from a nationally accredited college or university Current BLS and ALS certifications; other certifications may be required in specific units to practice Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in the ICU setting. Scheduling We currently have openings for full time night opportunities, including night weekend options! We have a six-week self-schedule model that allows your input on your schedule. There are weekend requirements that can vary every schedule period but typically averaging 2 weekends per schedule period.
