• Call only -- beeper call with 20-minute response time required
• Call ratio: 1:2
• 4 - 5 phone consults, 4 - 5 patients seen, 4 - 5 admissions per 24-hour call
• Inpatient only setting -- rounding and admissions required
• General CV/thoracic surgery -- open and endoscopic procedures required
• CABG (on pump and off pump), valvular repair, aneurysm repair required
• TAVR, LVAD, AICD placement, lung resection including VATs required
• Bronchoscopy, vent management, esophagus and diaphragm surgeries required
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal
