Pipeline Construction Inspector (Multi-Discipline)
Summary: Field inspector responsible for monitoring pipeline construction and infrastructure work to ensure compliance with project specs client standards and applicable codes. Covers multiple disciplines across the full construction spectrum.
Scope / Responsibilities:
- Inspect excavation dirt work and backfill operations for compliance with grade depth and bedding requirements
- Monitor welding and NDE activities; verify weld quality and documentation
- Oversee coating application and inspect for defects/holidays
- Witness and document hydrotesting procedures and results
- Inspect flange bolt-up tie-ins and hot tap connections
- Monitor mechanical lifts and rigging for safe spec-compliant execution
- Inspect civil work fencing and site restoration
- Oversee I&E (instrumentation & electrical) installation and terminations
- Document daily progress deficiencies and corrective actions; report to project leadership
Qualifications:
- 5 years pipeline/construction inspection experience across multiple disciplines
- Relevant certifications a plus (API NACE/AMPP CWI OQ)
- Strong knowledge of pipeline codes and client specs
- Solid documentation and reporting skills
- Willing to travel and work in the field
