VP Operations

Directs and oversees the overall operations and site management of the Distribution Centers (DCs). Negotiates and administers collective bargaining agreements. Implements and ensures that procedures are followed to provide a safe, efficient, service-oriented, and profitable department. Implements and ensures procedures are followed to provide a safe, efficient, service-oriented, and profitable department. Sets long‑term operations objectives aligned with business goals, and develops and executes strategic plan for the operations department. Integrates shipping, receiving, transportation, purchasing and sales activities, interacting with function leaders to achieve company goals. Maintains profitable operations by controlling inventory, losses, accidents, and safety. Guides compliance with government and regulatory guidelines, and company safety & security programs. Delegates responsibility to managers to achieve productivity goals, enforces policies, oversees performance, and administers discipline and training. Participates in the Operations Knowledge Center, industry organizations, and networking opportunities. Participates in collective bargaining negotiations for union facilities. Qualifications Education: 4-year degree preferred (or High School Diploma/ GED with equivalent experience). Experience: 10 years operations experience across various job functions in distribution management, with a minimum of 5 years management experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: DOT regulations, labor relations, recruiting, customer service, budgeting and cost control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulations, PC skills. Additional: Capable of negotiating collective bargaining agreements, understanding of safety and compliance programs. Compensation and Incentives Annual incentive plan bonus and long‑term incentive program may be available. Base salary range: $135,000 – $210,000, commensurate with experience, education, location, and other factors in accordance with applicable law.
