Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a freestanding ED (FSED) in Texas, requiring TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with 35 beds
• Patient-to-nurse ratio is 3:1 or 4:1
• Typical cases include trauma, stroke, STEMI, and moderate sedation procedures
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period)
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI (or accepted equivalent such as SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Certifications must be from AHA or ARC and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Navy scrubs required for RNs
