Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications with rotating nights and weekends.

Details

• Work in a 32+ bed Emergency Department at a hospital
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Nights and weekends rotate, with 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Performs procedures including LPs, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS required by start date
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required, with more than 2 years preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver emergency nursing care as part of a collaborative team known for anticipating patient and department needs
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Scrub color requirement is Navy Blue, with Navy Blue zip-up sweaters permitted; pullover sweatshirts are not acceptable
• First-time travelers may be considered
