Summer Camp Food Operations Manager - Pleasanton Location: 1125 Concord St, Pleasanton, CA 94566 Camp Dates: 6/1/2026 – 7/17/2026 (plus one weekend for setup, one for breakdown, and an orientation date) Camp Hours: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (actual shifts vary) Hourly Wage: $22.00 – $24.50 per hour (dependent on experience) Our camp seeks meticulous multitaskers with strong time‑management skills to run an on‑site food program. You’ll sharpen organizational skills, submit food orders, and maintain the kitchen and food service items with hygienic practices while keeping hundreds of campers fed. The food program is simple; you’ll serve prepared meals, not cook from scratch. No culinary experience required. Job Responsibilities Prepare and serve snacks and lunch, clean up, and manage food‑service items and supplies. Maintain all food‑related equipment and spaces in sanitary conditions. Order and manage inventory of food‑service items. Keep all food storage and preparation areas clean and organized. Serve as a role model for campers and uphold safety standards. Additional Responsibilities Supervise campers. Maintain organized activity spaces. Ensure compliance with camp policies. Report and record incidents or injuries. Track camper allergies and dietary restrictions. Add daily updates and photos to camper profiles. How Do You Know You’re Right Candidate? Excited about guiding self‑directed children. Calm under pressure and able to calm others. Comfortable leading groups and collaborating with a team. Energetic and able to manage 4–12‑year‑old campers. Passion for learning and sharing knowledge. Job Requirements At least 18 years old. Minimum of 2 months of camp‑age child experience (1 year preferred). First Aid & CPR Certification prior to Day 1. Provide ServeSafe Food Handler Certification (provided if needed). Agree to be contacted via email or text. Physical Requirements Follow all safety and health rules.
