IT Technician

Salary: $52,624 - 63,378 per year Requirements:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related productivity software
• Strong diagnostic ability across hardware, software, network systems, and operating environments
• Experience using help desk platforms such as BMC Remedy or Jira for ticket logging and case management
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls such as Meraki, and general network administration
• Familiarity with Windows support, including Active Directory administration, SCCM, GPOs, DHCP setups, Linux systems, and network troubleshooting methods
• Ability to support a range of devices and equipment, including computers, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
• Strong communication skills for assisting users with different levels of technical knowledge
• Analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues promptly and accurately in IT infrastructure settings

• Provide end-user technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues through help desk systems and direct support
• Diagnose and fix equipment problems involving desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals
• Administer user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, including Group Policy Object configuration
• Support networking tasks by configuring and maintaining LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewall/security appliance settings
• Troubleshoot and update operating systems and software, including Windows and Linux, to keep devices performing well
• Record and manage support tickets accurately in tools such as BMC Remedy or Jira to monitor resolution progress
• Carry out routine hardware maintenance such as component swaps, device troubleshooting, and computer administration to reduce downtime
