Communications Technician

Measurement & CommunicationMinimum Requirements:A High School Diploma or equivalent required.2-5 years' relevant work experience & training as a technician or additional equivalent experience necessary to perform required task of technical support on an independent basisExcellent attention to detail.Alternative educational experience including but not limited to self-study course work or components of a non-technical degreeStrong computer skills and proficiency utilizing MS Office Suites (Word, Access, Excel & Visio).Proficiency in the use of hand tools, especially pertaining to electrical wiring & components at various voltage levels.Customer Service oriented and must possess excellent verbal & written communications skills including an ability to deal effectively with internal/external customers, peers and management.The ability to work in hazardous conditions, adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting.Subject to 24-hour call out 7 days per week and possible extended work days.Maintain a valid driver's license for the state of residence including a clean driving and safety record.Preferred Skills or Experience:Associate's Degree in a related technical field preferred (or additional equivalent experience).FCC License desired, not required.Special Considerations:N/AEqual Opportunity Employer/Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran DISCLAIMER: The above statements, which are subject to change, are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by personnel assigned to this job.
