People don’t come to Glacier View Coffee only for the coffee. They come because this is one of the few places where you can walk in and be recognized. The person behind the counter is the reason that works. That’s the job. Yes, you’ll pull shots, steam milk, run the register and keep the place clean—and we’ll teach you to do all of it well. But the part that actually matters is the thirty seconds you spend with each person who walks through the door. No experience? Good. We will teach you everything about coffee. How to dial in a grind, pull a proper shot, steam milk to the right texture, and pour latte art that makes someone's morning. That's all trainable, and we're genuinely good at teaching it. What we can't teach is whether you look up and smile when the door opens. If you've got that, come talk to us. What You’ll Do Greet every customer warmly and make them feel welcome — this is the whole job, not a soft skill Prepare hot and cold beverages to standard recipes, and customize them when a customer asks Operate a commercial espresso machine — grinding, dosing, and pulling shots Prepare milk-based drinks with proper frothing, and pouring Prepare grinds to customer request Suggest beverages and food that make someone's order better Handle cash and POS transactions accurately Learn our regulars — faces, names, and the drink they order before they ask Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards for handling, storage, and hygiene Stock, rotate, and merchandise product to our standards Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks per the duty roster Pitch in wherever the shift needs you — every shift looks a little different Maintain regular and consistent punctuality and attendance Complete training in food preparation, food service, and customer service What We’re Looking For Required No previous experience required — we train High school diploma or GED, or currently pursuing one Availability for flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality — a small shop feels every absence Nice to have Previous customer service experience, ideally in food or beverage Prior barista or coffee shop experience Cash handling or POS experience Who thrives here You actually like people.
