System AdministratorDexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a System Administrator to support our contract at PEOSTRI in Orlando, FL.Position Overview:The System Administrator is a hybrid remote/in-office position primarily responsible for configuring, deploying and maintaining RHEL virtual servers and virtualization technologies within a DoD environment. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and supporting end users to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure runs efficiently and securely.Job Duties:Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers, operating systems, and applicationsManaging and maintaining the virtual environment within VMware product lineMonitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT infrastructurePerform routine system maintenance, including patches, updates, and backupsManage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory or other identity management platformsTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely support to end usersMaintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.Maintain Cyber Security standards and requirements within RHEL and virtualization technologiesAssist with planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deploymentsCollaborate with IT team members and vendors to resolve complex technical issuesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology OR 4 years of equivalent work experience.Strong knowledge of RHEL operating systems.Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) a plusKnowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)Understanding of cybersecurity best practicesScripting skills (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python) preferredExcellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with DISA STIGs and federal security compliance standardsRequirements to Start:A fully adjudicated DOD Secret clearance is required to StartAn IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA Security+ce, is required to StartCompany DescriptionDexian Government Solutions is an award-winning, ISO 9001:2015 certified, business and GSA contract holder providing diversified Information Technology services to both Civilian and Defense agencies.
