Front Desk Medical Receptionist Job Description

· Greet patients and visitors to provide a high level of customer service

· Answer high volume of incoming phone calls

· Schedule appointments in EMR

· Ensure patients complete the required documents upon arrival

· Assist patients as needed with the check-in process

· Check out patients and schedule follow-up appointments

· Enter charges into EMR

· Enter accurate patient demographic information into EMR

· Handle patient inquiries

· Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations

· Collect required payments from patients: cash, credit card, FSA or HSA

· Verify insurance and the related copayments, deductibles, and other financial requirements

· Maintain practice operations by following policies and procedures, and report issues as needed

· Contribute to the team effort to ensure a high level of customer service to increase patient satisfaction

· Work at secondary location as needed

· Practice Hours – Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. Saturdays – 9AM to 2PM

Front Desk Experience and Skills:

· Minimum of two years of Front Office experience

· Fluent Spanish Required
