Senior Data Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Data Analyst leads the end-to-end data lifecycle—from designing complex queries to presenting predictive insights to executives. They are responsible for identifying trends that drive revenue, optimizing operational efficiency, and mentoring junior team members. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Solution Development: Provide leadership and oversight for data warehouse projects, from planning and design to implementation and support. Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions for data reporting and analytics. Develop, create, and modify query-based dashboards, reports, KPIs, and advanced analytics to support decision-making across the organization. Stay current with advancements in data warehousing, business intelligence (BI) technologies, and analytics to bring innovative solutions to the team. On-Call and Technical Support: Be available for on-call support as assigned by the manager, providing prompt assistance to resolve data reporting and database-related issues. Provide technical advice, assistance, and training to users, helping them understand and utilize data reporting tools effectively. Documentation and Best Practices: Document and maintain standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation for the data warehouse team. Ensure that best practices for data management, storage, and retrieval are followed across all data warehouse projects. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the department’s and organization’s goals. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Data Warehousing and BI Expertise: Extensive knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) technologies, including Power BI and SQL querying. Proven ability to develop and maintain complex dashboards, reports, and alerts, as well as to create requirement specifications, technical designs, and user training documents. Communication and Team Leadership: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and provide clear instructions to team members. Demonstrated leadership skills, with a history of mentoring team members to achieve their full potential. Project and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure to resolve issues and meet service level agreements (SLAs). Customer Service Orientation: Ability to deliver exceptional customer service, responding promptly to requests for assistance and providing support that aligns with user needs. Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated on industry trends and new technologies related to data analytics and BI. CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered. Seven or more years of experience in a data-focused technology role, including data warehousing, business intelligence, or data analytics. Experience with Power BI, SQL, and database management is essential. NOTE: This position pays between $75,000.00 - 85,000.00 per year, plus bonus potential.
