Growing together.The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.Schedule: This is a 40-hour work week and an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am to 5:00pm PST. The schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire.Location: 1145 Broadway, third floor, Seattle, WA 98122Primary Responsibilities:Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance informationPerform insurance verification on the date of serviceObtain patient signatures for required documentsUpload a valid Government issued state ID of patient and patient insurance cardsAccurate and complete occupational medicine registration workflowFile and maintain medical recordsPerform referral documentation promptlyFirst point of contact for our patients. Sets the tone for a positive experienceExhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and careSchedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelinesUses Multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over phoneVerifies patient information, while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC)Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral informationProvide effective communication to patient / family team members and other health care professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluationsNotify clinical staff of schedule changes as they occurComply with administrative policies to ensure quality of careDemonstrate precision and efficiency in scanning documents and monitoring the fax server, retrieving and / or scanning documents and assigning to the appropriate electronic chartParticipate in orientation (scheduling segment) of new field employees and distribute updates and changes as neededPerform other related duties and assignments as requiredOrganize and maintain medical recordsAll employees are expected to keep abreast of current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirementsComplete new clinical competencies rolled out by the Educational CommitteeWork Independently and Assist with Clinical duties on a limited basisPerforms other duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment.
