Engineering Project Management Principal F-16 (Level 6)

Description You will be the Engineering Project Management Principal F-16 (Level 6) for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) which is responsible for delivering advanced fighter capabilities across multiple programs. What You Will Be Doing As the Engineering Project Management Principal F-16 you will be responsible for steering technical, cost, and schedule performance of F-16 engineering efforts, while guiding a small team of Project Engineers. Responsibilities Own engineering performance across multi-program portfolios, aligning technical, cost, schedule, and business objectives. Serve as the primary technical advisor to program management and senior leadership, influencing key decisions and customer commitments. Lead resolution of complex, cross-program technical issues and drive enterprise-level integration of engineering disciplines. Establish and maintain technical baselines, requirements traceability, and performance tracking through TPMs and EVM metrics. Mentor senior project engineers and emerging leaders, shaping staffing strategies and capability development. Additional Requirements MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical discipline. 12+ years of relevant engineering experience, including leadership of complex engineering programs or major program elements. Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program performance metrics. Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, integrated engineering environments. Experience interfacing with Program Management and/or customers on technical execution. Secret security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Desired Skills Extensive experience with F-16 or similar tactical aircraft systems and integration environments. Demonstrated ability to operate at a program-of-programs or enterprise level. Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience or equivalent financial accountability. Experience serving as a technical authority, Chief Engineer, or equivalent role on complex efforts. Experience with proposal development, capture strategy, and customer engagement. Experience with Agile planning and execution in large‑scale engineering programs. Experience with JIRA, Tableau, Confluence, or similar tools for execution and performance tracking. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years. Location & Work Schedule Onsite Full‑time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules. Schedule for this position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
