Estimator & Purchasing Specialist

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 Job Title: Estimator & Purchasing Specialist Job #: 5875 Location: Clifton Park, NY Category: Construction Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Description Our client is currently seeking an Estimator & Purchasing Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position. Responsibilities Maintain standard pricing for base home models and provide pricing and clarifications for clients’ modification requests. Develop and value-engineer standard option packages. Procure quotes from vendors and subcontractors to price selections upgrades. Interpret each client’s selections documentation to translate into Work Orders for subcontractors. Generate reports, schedules, and lists associated with each aspect of the project. Develop accurate take-offs with estimating software and issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors based on the take-offs. Maintain strong communication with Site Supervisors and Construction Manager throughout the life cycle of each project. Qualifications 2-3 years of residential estimating experience required. Must be able to interpret and audit blueprints. Proficiency in Estimating software and Microsoft Excel is needed; Sage preferred. Strong communication and organization skills required.
