Facilities Coordinator

Description

St. Olaf, Patron of Norway, Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Virginia has an opening for a full time Facility Maintenance Coordinator. The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing building operations and services at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Pastoral Center, Rectory and adjoining property at 127 Peach Street.
Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Ensure the worship space is properly prepared for daily and weekend masses and other services.
• Ensure facility is ready for parish meetings and activities.
• Primary point of contact for alarm systems at the office, church, and rectory.
• Review health and safety expectations to meet Diocese's Risk Management requirements.
• Coordinate all snow removal.
• Oversee grounds keeping
• Complete monthly inspection checklist for plumbing, electrical and appliances, safety and alarm systems and exterior of all buildings.
• Ensure bathrooms are operational and in good working order.
• Ensure all lights are fully functioning.
• Ensure Kitchens are clean and properly functioning.
• Inspect the structure of all buildings and determine if repairs are needed.
• Supervise renovations, repairs, and additions.
• Primary liaison with security forces, cleaning personnel, grounds maintenance and utility company.
• Evaluate and adjust energy expenditures.
• Transport, disposal of, or relocate office equipment and furniture.
• Maintain up to date log of keys for cabinets, desks, doors to parish buildings.
• Coordinate all church property expenditures, in advance, with Business Manager
• Other duties assigned.

Physical Demands/Environment:

Daily performance of duties will require occasional lifting and moving of weighted objects, climbing ladders and use of tools. This position also requires sitting ability to use computer and other office equipment.

Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and must have one-three years' experience in buildings and grounds upkeep.
