InBuilding Construction Manager (CM2)

12-month contract with a chance to extend or convert. $45+ per hour Travel Required Onsite Position

Role Summary

The InBuilding Construction Manager is accountable for all Civil Works on assigned projects, including financial control, schedule adherence, SP/ASP management, and quality performance. This role ensures compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and all applicable federal and local regulations while driving continuous improvement across construction activities.

Core Responsibilities

Project Controls & Financial Management

• Accountable for civil works financial control through:
  • Schedule management (time)
  • SP / ASP performance
  • Quality management
• Assess and control charges against the agreed site design
• Drive schedule activities and troubleshoot delays or issues
• Prepare regular progress reports and provide accurate status updates to project management

Construction Execution & Quality Assurance

• Ensure:
  • Only customer-approved materials are installed
  • Civil Works guidelines, standards, and schedules are followed and enforced
• Supervise, coordinate, and monitor work performed by Service Providers and interfacing disciplines
• Verify workmanship quality meets contract, company, and customer standards
• Perform:
  • Site pre-inspections
  • Site verifications
  • Visual quality inspections
  • Post-construction audits
• Reject incorrect or non-conforming material deliveries
• Report and document poor performance or quality issues
• Ensure proper interpretation and compliance with civil design plans

Safety & Work Environment

• Maintain a safe and acceptable working environment on site
• Conduct safety inspections and verify tools and equipment are in good condition
• Enforce all federal, local, and customer safety guidelines throughout the Civil Works phase
• Provide on-site supervision during high-risk activities or environments
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of worker safety and work-environment safety practices

Coordination & Problem Solving

• Attend coordination and progress meetings
• Coordinate site activities to ensure all disciplines remain aligned with project goals
• Provide civil works problem solving as required throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide technical assistance to Service Providers and supporting suppliers

Documentation & Systems Management

• Write claims and manage material ordering and returns
• Maintain and update construction-specific areas of Site Handler, including but not limited to:
  • Statements of Work (SOW) and pre-construction documents (NTP, RFDS, safety guidance, QA standards)
  • NTP receipt verification
  • RFDS submission review and change management
  • Civil acceptance documents (submission, review, approval)
  • Daily Civil Works PFA progress verification
  • Close-out document review and final acceptance sign-off

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Provide team leadership with a strong focus on quality and results
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and execution
• Actively contribute to procedural improvement and operational change

Construction Manager 2 (CM2) Profile

• Demonstrates strong knowledge and skills in construction management
• Identifies and solves complex problems requiring careful analysis
• Adapts existing procedures, techniques, and methodologies to real-world challenges
• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Actively contributes to improvement initiatives

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant construction experience
• Experience managing project builds across 200+ sites preferred
• Reports to CM3 (Lead Construction Manager) or IM Lead
