Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during the designated shift. In collaboration with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with management. Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes and service. Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary. Help the facility improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives. Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; support implementation of training and development, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines. Support proper inventory control and manage supplies and equipment. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. Registered Nurse Diploma or BSN preferred. Acute care RN experience and charge or leadership experience preferred. Eligibility for benefits may vary by location.
