Job Opportunity: Personal Care/Medication Technician

We are hiring personal care/medication technicians for our client in McCandless, PA. The certified med tech/caregiver role includes providing hands-on care while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment. The certified med techs must understand the medication administration cycle, including administration and documentation of medication, observation, reporting of changes, and storage of medication.

Medication Technician Duties

• Reviews care plan for each resident
• Documents forms as medications are given
• Assists/observes medications and treatments for each resident using the medication observation record
• Maintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication
• Restocks medication cart after medication passes
• Maintains and cleans the medication room

Care Giver

• Provides companionship with the residents
• Assists with mobility issues, helping residents get in and out of bed, wheelchair, etc.
• Helps with personal hygiene (i.e. brushing teeth, toileting, bathing)
• Assists with all daily activities, based on the resident’s limitations and needs
