Remote Platform Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a remote platform engineer to support a critical modernization effort with a large government healthcare customer. This individual will be responsible for designing, building, and managing a cloud native, multitenant DevOps platform that will be leveraged across a large enterprise environment. The goal for this role will be to leverage various open source cloud native tools to build and enhance a self-service devops platform that is robust, highly scalable, and reusable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in devops and CI/CD, as well as experience in cloud native computing, GitOps, and/or platform engineering. Additional responsibilities include:

• Work with the customer and technical staff to interpret requirements into a design roadmap
• In coordination with architect and delivery team, design and build out CI/CD pipeline
• Help solve issues around scalability and reusability in IAC environment in Terraform
• Adding new CI or CD technologies to the existing pipeline
• Configure and deploy helm charts for specific use cases
• Enhance implementation and usage of cloud native tools like ArgoCD and Crossplane as part of the GitOps strategy
• Troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline issues as they arise, working closely with SRE and developers
• Align closely with the Product Owners to understand user stories
• Adhere to Agile/Scrum development methodology

Rate: $157,400 - $192,500 annualized
