Senior Advisor - Commercial Risk - Middle Middle Market - Boston

Position Overview The Senior Advisor sources and sells new accounts and renews existing accounts in alignment with firm and individual goals. The role includes building and maintaining relationships with clients, prospects, service teams, insurance company partners, and centers of influence while identifying and soliciting sales prospects. Primary Responsibilities Gather information and develop recommendations for prospective clients. Present proposals professionally, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure client understanding. Communicate effectively with clients, prospects, insurance partners, and service teams. Finalize sales, coordinate deposits, arrange binders and certificates, and brief the service team on policy sales. Develop prospects through community affiliations, partner-hosted seminars, networking events, and referrals. Coach, mentor, and manage the professional development of colleagues. Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness in interactions to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims. Maintain knowledge of insurance industry and underwriting criteria. Meet monthly new‑business goals. Demonstrate the firm’s core values and align with the organization’s culture. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Self‑starter who works independently and can influence others. Strong verbal and written presentation skills. Ability to learn relevant insurance and firm software systems. Positive representation of the firm and insurance partners in the community. Proactive in seeking opportunities to improve business segments and processes. Effective at escalating issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership. Education & Experience Obtain and maintain the required insurance license(s) for the state(s) of operation within the first 90 days of employment. Minimum of 5‑7 years in an insurance advisory position. Prior leadership or ownership experience in a successful firm is preferred. Other Fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment. Starting pay is $145,000+ and negotiable at time of offer.
