About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week contract position in Rockford, Illinois. The technologist will support cardiovascular interventional procedures involving Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Interventional Neurology, and Electrophysiology (EP) .

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including vascular access, cardiac catheterization, IR, neuro-interventional, and electrophysiology procedures.

• Prepare patients, sterile supplies, imaging equipment, contrast injectors, physiological monitoring equipment, and procedure rooms while maintaining sterile and aseptic technique.

• Monitor vital signs and procedural data, assist with medication administration as ordered, recognize emergencies, and provide appropriate pre- and post-procedure patient care.

• Operate fluoroscopic and digital imaging equipment, optimize imaging protocols, perform image processing and 3D reconstruction, and follow established radiation-safety practices.

• Maintain accurate procedural documentation using Epic and participate in required weeknight, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years of Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Technologist Experience Required; Level I Trauma Center Experience Preferred.

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program Required; Current Illinois IEMA-DNS Radiography Accreditation Required.

• Current ARRT Radiography R.T.(R) Certification Required.

• Current ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) Certification Required.

• Current BLS,BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Certifications Required.

The Cath Lab / IR Technologist will provide skilled technical and imaging support for complex cardiovascular and interventional procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care, sterile technique, and radiation safety.
