Employee Health Medical Office Assistant

Position Overview The Employee Health Medical Office Assistant is a diverse clerical and clinical role that serves as the customer service liaison and assists the Nursing Staff in onboarding post offer candidates to UHS. New candidates and employees are greeted with courtesy and respect using exceptional communication skills. The purpose of this position is to provide our candidates and employees with a seamless positive experience while following demonstrating and exhibiting our UHS Values. In a clinical role the medical assistant performs new hire and employee patient care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider. Primary Department, Division, Or Unit UHS Employee Health Office Primary Work Shift Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Compensation Range $17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience Education/Experience Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent Experience in a medical office setting to, include, but not being limited to, the collection of patient information and data, patient interactions or assisting physicians with procedures in a medical office or hospital setting. Preferred: Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program. Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting. License/Certification Minimum Required: Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.
