What You'll Do

• Evaluate patient functions through formal and informal assessments across skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with physician orders and patient goals
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment options, prognosis, and self-care techniques
• Document treatment plans, patient responses, and updates to the care plan in compliance with policies and regulatory standards
• Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and new students
• Recommend adaptive and supportive equipment based on assessments and coordinate procurement
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and community outreach initiatives
• Promote high-quality patient care and uphold MidMichigan Health's core values of Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, and Accountability

What You Need

• Valid Michigan Physical Therapist license or eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient and acute care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work independently
• OSHA training completed annually and knowledge of safety protocols
• Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally and standing/walking for long periods
