What You'll Do Day-to-Day As an Occupational Therapist at Hands of Hope, you will: Evaluate & Plan: Perform comprehensive OT evaluations based on physician referrals and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical needs and functional goals. Deliver Skilled Interventions: Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance strength, coordination, fine motor skills, cognitive function, and activities of daily living (ADLs). Guide & Educate: Teach patients and caregivers safe home exercise programs, adaptive equipment usage, and self-management strategies to maximize independence. Track & Refine: Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as appropriate, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation. Collaborate for Better Outcomes: Work closely alongside physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver seamless, coordinated care while maintaining HIPAA compliance and professional standards. What We're Looking For Required: Active Occupational Therapist (OT) License in the State of New York . Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred: Previous experience in an outpatient rehabilitation or therapy clinic. Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical patients.
