CNC Lathe Machinist

SHIFT: 2nd or 3rd shift, with 1st shift training. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is in the Lathe Department, and it involves moving from one machine to another as needed when workload shifts. The machines include 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar feeders. The individual in this role will perform a series of complex machine operations, including setup and programming to meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. This will involve reading and editing G & M code and performing first piece and in-process quality inspections. The position will also involve running different grades of material and performing multiple setups a day. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma Knowledge of metric blueprints along with GD&T preferred Mazatrol conversational programming knowledge 3 to 5 years of CNC machining operation setup and programming experience preferred Knowledge of 2- and 3-axis Mazak Quick Turns, DMG Mori Lathes, and Bar Feeders is preferred Experience performing multiple setups per day and running different grades of material Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls Krones, Inc. offers an outstanding opportunity to be involved with and challenged by leading-edge technologies, further career opportunities to learn and develop skills, a flexible work schedule and a competitive salary and benefits program.
