Senior Fund Accountant – Private Equity at Oliver James
A boutique Private Equity firm is looking for a Fund Accountant to join an expanding team handling internal fund accounting. The role is based on a hybrid schedule in downtown Chicago, offering competitive compensation, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements processing investments and monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparing and supporting the quarterly close process
- Assisting with internal financial audits
- Calculating capital calls and distributions
- Interacting with investment teams and preparing investor correspondence when needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
- Experience with Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, or Hedge Funds is necessary
- At least 2–6 years of experience in the financial services industry, fund administration, or public accounting firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
