Ruby on Rails Developer - INTL - India

We're seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to support the migration of an existing Rails application from a legacy API to a new API. This role is handson and backendfocused, working within an established production system.
The engineer will split time between core development work (API migration and refactoring) and ongoing Shopifyrelated engineering support under a shared support model.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute a Ruby on Rails API migration
- Refactor backend services, integrations, and data flows
- Write, test, and deploy productionready code
- Perform release testing, bug fixes, and regression testing
- Support Shopifyrelated engineering requests
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure system reliability

Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- 2+ years supporting or migrating applications within AWS
- Strong software design, testing, and release support
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Exposure to AI / Generative AI (Claude, RAG, etc)
- Shopify, e-commerce, or fintech experience
